Binacrombi Bush Telegraph – No.3

Hi again, Binacrombi community.

Father Dave here with some updates, and this time they’re all good! 😊

Firstly, and most importantly, the 40 acres is back in play! 😊

If you don’t know what I’m referring to, you can skip this paragraph, but I know a lot of people were concerned about us having to block off ‘Brett’s World’ , as it’s the best area for teaching kids to ride. Some may not realise that this area is actually a separate property (owned by Brett) and that we’ve been leasing it from him for many years. We had some hiccups in the relationship but, thankfully, Brett has now made it possible for us to continue our arrangement for the next six months. After that … we’ll see, but this should see us through until the end of winter.

Secondly, and also important, is that we’re upping the ante on the Saturday night ‘Binacrombi Bush Bash’.

I’m always encouraged by the response we get at Binacrombi, and by the numbers who tune in each week via our Binacrombi Facebook page. I’d like to think it’s because you are all enthralled by my boxing skills, but I suspect that it’s more because there has been so little boxing happening since the lockdowns started. Either way, the response has been great and I’m working on increasing the regularity of the event and the quality of the fighters. Mind you, while I’m planning on featuring some great talent over the coming months, this in no way prevents anybody who wants to do a friendly round or two with me from having a go.  If you don’t have gloves or a mouthguard, I will provide. 🙂

Finally, and by no means least important, is that you can get a 10% discount on accommodation for your next visit if you can spot your picture in our gallery page on the Binacrombi website. We are posting the best photos from each weekend at Bina to the Gallery, so if you stayed with us recently, there’s every chance that you’ll find yourself there. Just save a copy of the image and send it to Amanda when you make your next booking to receive the discount.

Note that this discount can be combined with the 10% discount for AORVA members (who can therefore get a 20% discount), so if you have a buggy and haven’t taken out AORVA membership, go to www.aorva.com.au and tell them Father Dave sent you.

I look forward to seeing you (and hopefully touching gloves with you) very soon. Call Amanda to reserve yourself a space when you’re ready: 1800 620 706
